Save $300 on my New Year's Retreat [plus some wedding photos!]
It's time to set goals, start the new year with purpose, and commune with other HSPs. Oh, and my wedding dress, too!
Hey Soothers! I’m (slowly) returning from sabbatical. I got married! And I’ll hopefully be writing here more regularly the next months, though I may ease back in slowly.
Here’s a photo from our family-only, small backyard wedding for fun:
Okay okay, one more where you can see my dress:
It was a really grand time. But more to come on that!
For now, because it ends Friday, I wanted to make sure you knew about my earlybird sale for my annual New Year’s Eve Retreat. You’ll save $300 if you register by end of day Friday. It’s December 29- January 1, in Knoxville, Maryland, in the Blue Ridge Mountains (we’ll help arrange or help you figure out transport, no matter where you’re coming from).
The retreat I've created is the retreat I wished I had all those years ago when I was looking for a relaxing, grounded, and full-of-purpose way to start my year.
Here's why:
1. The retreat is sober. There's no booze or substances around. We do make some delicious mocktails to celebrate, but there's a guarantee you will wake up clear-headed and clear-eyed on January 1.
2. There's nourishing food, all 3 meals included. We have a range of vegan/vegetarian to omnivore food available and we accommodate all dietary needs and preferences; hearty breakfasts, great desserts, and oh my god, there is so much tea.
3. There's community. Up to 15 women attend this retreat each year, all of them highly sensitive, thoughtful, kind, introspective, and amazing. Friendships are made and every year we have repeat attendees. Most folks attend on their own, and my co-host Kelly and I are present every moment to make sure folks feel welcome.
4. There's gentle movement. My co-host Kelly is an incredible yoga teacher, and there is (optional) yoga every morning as well as her guided meditations. You can be at any level for the yoga; Kelly adjusts for each person. Bonus — this year, she's also hosting a sound bowl healing ceremony! It's the ultimate relaxation. There's also optional hikes, and the property we stay on is on beautiful land you can wander around.
5. There's ritual. The evening of New Year's Eve, Kelly and I host a meaningful ceremony with all of you to set intentions, connect with our higher selves, and set our compasses for the next year.
6. There's purpose. At this retreat, I teach my signature two-hour goal-setting workshop, and during your time with us you complete it, to walk away with 6 heart-centered goals, and the exact step-by-step plan for executing them, for the new year.
7. There's plenty of magic. I also teach Tarot and show you how to do an easy, inspiring Tarot spread for the year ahead. Even if you're a total Tarot newbie, I'll show you how to use the cards to have some fun and touch into your intuition.
8. There's nature. I invite everybody to watch the sunrise and the sunset with me, to help reset your circadian rhythm and connect to the land and settle your nervous system.
9. There's coziness. Think crackling fireplace, tons of plush couches, ample silent hours to read books, journal, take just one wee little nap...
10. There's a relief into sinking into a few days spent with highly sensitive people. Imagine a retreat catered fully to the needs of the HSP. Nature. Good food. Rest. Downtime. Silent hours. Quiet. Connection to purpose. Thoughtful and deep and introspective conversations, should you want them. (We also respect folks just spending time on their own, and every activity is absolutely optional.) Kelly and I both identify as HSPs and it is our goal to make you feel comfortable, attended to, to respect your sensory needs and your nervous system.
This doesn't even mention the on-site massages, the scenery of the Blue Ridge Mountains, journal prompts, guided meditations, yoga nidra and deep, deep rest you'll feel.
Life’s demands can be overwhelming, and the New Year is often packed with expectations. By spending time with us at our retreat, you’ll be able to focus solely on you—no distractions, just pure, uninterrupted time to reflect, renew, and recharge.
As a bonus, here are a few testimonials from years past:
"I felt so supported by Catherine and Kelly the whole time! I met lovely women, had great conversations, deepened my Tarot practice but also got some space for quiet self reflection in a beautiful retreat center. I can't recommend these two powerful, kind women enough!"
"I am so glad I participated in a retreat with Kelly and Catherine. Two lovely hostesses who plan activities with thought and care and attract a community of amazing women."
"Being in a community of powerful, intuitive women was so amazing! Creating rituals and setting intentions on your own is great but the energy that flows through a group like the one Catherine and Kelly convened is next level."
"[The retreat] was nothing short of magical. The yin yoga sessions were a personal favorite, offering a deep sense of peace and rejuvenation. Being in the company of like-minded women created an empowering and warm community vibe that I cherished every moment of."
"This retreat was exactly what I needed. I loved that there was a structure but no pressure to do anything. Everybody was so nice and welcoming. It was a really great way to start the new year - in community, with intention and in a supportive environment. I learned so much, not only from the offerings, but from the conversations with other retreat attendees."
Ready to sign up for this year's NYE retreat? Our earlybird pricing of 25% off ends this Friday, November 1st. You'll save nearly $300 if you sign up before then! (Private rooms available too.)
You can sign up by either simply replying to this email, where Kelly and I will get you a payment link to put down your deposit. Or you can read more here, and reach out through the form on that page. Of course, if you have questions you need answered first, just reach out, and Kelly and I will respond personally right away. We're also happy to create payment plans if that helps you out financially.
